Creative companions for love, loss, and life’s thresholds.
Lumerita is a grief-informed creative studio crafting gentle, non-clinical books and embodied resources for those navigating caregiving, loss, and transition.

Our Pet Love & Loss Series
Lumerita's companion series for loving and losing animals.
Gentle, non-clinical books for those walking the threshold of loving and losing an animal.
Here, grief includes not only loss after death, but the thresholds of caregiving and love that arise while an animal is still with us.
Centered on the primary caregiver experience, these companions offer steady language for the disorienting early days — when routines shift, identity trembles, and grief moves through the body in fragments.
THE HOLDING DAYS

A companion for the early days after the loss of a beloved animal Centered on the primary caregiver experience, The Holding Days offers gentle language and reflection for the disorienting window after loss — when routines shift, identity trembles, and grief moves through the body in fragments.
The Animals Who Walk With Us
The Pet Love and Loss arc grew from a lifelong bond with animals — companions who have moved beside me through different seasons of life, caregiving, and love.
In recent years, that bond included my dog Nixta, whose illness and death became the most immediate threshold shaping this series. Her care and loss clarified how little language and support many people have while loving and losing animals.
She is one among the beloved animals who have formed my spirit pack — relationships that continue beyond death and that live quietly within this work.
Why This Series Exists
Many experience animal caregiving and loss as one of life's deepest bonds, yet find little acknowledgment or support.
These companions are written for:
• Primary caregivers walking closest through illness or goodbye
• Families sharing animal bonds
• Those navigating decline, euthanasia, or grief after loss
Quiet, lived-experience-based companions — not therapy or treatment.

About the Creator
Lumerita was born from lived experience.
After years of devotion to the animal companions I deeply loved—and carrying the weight of caregiving, medical decisions, anticipatory grief, and final goodbyes—I created what I could not find: a grief-aware companion for the season of love and loss with a beloved animal.
Not clinical.
Not rushing meaning.
Just steady presence.
What began in the intimate landscape of animal love has since widened into a broader exploration of devotion, attachment, and the crossings that shape us. My work weaves together decades of study in contemplative traditions, ritual design, attachment-informed grief frameworks, and somatic practice. Influenced by grief science and nervous system awareness, I create companions and containers that honor love as a real bond—and loss as a real rupture.
I am not a therapist, and Lumerita does not offer clinical treatment. The work remains grounded in ethical scope and trauma-aware principles, designed to offer steadiness and embodied presence during life’s tender crossings.
Lumerita explores how grief, devotion, caregiving, identity shifts, and sacred transition can coexist—without bypassing pain or forcing transformation. Each offering is intended to sit beside, not guide over, those moving through seasons of love and loss.
Lumerita is built on one simple belief:
Deep love deserves deep witnessing.
You do not owe anyone the full shape of your grief.
